Diego Albani was born 1971. He is a trained researcher in the field of neurodegeneration and protein aggregation. His expertise is in biology, molecular biology and biochemistry, with a long lasting experience also in genetics.

 

Diego is since 2011 Head of the Unit of Genetics of Neurodegenerative Disorders and coordinates a team composed by PhD students and junior fellows and will be devoted to the biologic aspects of the project focused on in vitro models of neurodegenerative disorders.

Dr Albani is member of the Italian Association on Brain Aging and is currently Associated Editor of the Journal of Alzheimers Disease (www.j-alz.com/) and of the Internatonal Journal of Molecular Epidemiology and Genetics (http://www.ijmeg.org/).

The Unit is actively collaborating with Italian and foreing research and clinical centres.
